92312_33953_0.pngMeasures of Academic Progress (MAP)
Thunder Hill Elementary will be participating in a pilot of the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments this school year.  The MAP assessments are computerized adaptive tests in Reading and Mathematics that will be administered to all students K - 5 at Thunder Hill on 3 occasions this school year.  The MAP assessments are both norm and criterion referenced tests that will allow teachers and parents to obtain information on a student's performance relative to a grade level norm score as well as how well they are mastering curricular objectives based on the Common Core Curriculum.   Norm Scores will be reported as RIT Scores (Ready for Instruction Today). Additional information will be provided to parents throughout the school year.  The first administration of the MAP assessment will begin on October 1st.  Please click on the following link for more detailed information or you may contact Mr. Birus or Ms. Bowen.
