Pink Shirt Day

Fri, 02/21/2020 - 3:03pm

Thunder Hill  will be joining schools for Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.  Pink Shirt Day is an anti-bullying initiative that began in Canada in 2007 when a boy was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. Two students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, witnessed the bullying and organized the first Pink Shirt Day to support the bullied student.

The theme for this year is "Lift Each Other Up."  We can lift each other up by showing kindness and making sure that all feel welcome and included.  All students and staff are invited to participate in Pink Shirt Day by wearing pink -- shirt, socks, sweater, scarf, etc. -- to take a stand against and bullying.  Join the fun!
